Node.js Development
Senior Node.js development for APIs, real-time features, and SaaS backends. TypeScript and NestJS in the toolkit, full code ownership, pay-as-it-ships.
// the short answer
Ujjwal Technolabs is a senior, remote-first SaaS and mobile studio that builds production Node.js backends — REST and GraphQL APIs, real-time WebSocket layers, and service tiers that sit behind web and mobile apps. Node.js is part of our daily core stack, led by founder Deepak Nagar, who has 12+ years of full-stack experience.

What we build with Node.js
Node.js is one of our core backend tools, and we reach for it when a product needs fast, event-driven I/O or shares logic between server and client. Concretely, we ship:
- APIs and service layers — REST and GraphQL endpoints that power web apps, mobile apps, and third-party integrations.
- Real-time features — WebSocket-based chat, live dashboards, notifications, presence, and collaborative interfaces.
- TypeScript backends — type-safe services, often structured with NestJS for larger codebases that need clear modules and dependency injection.
- Integration and middleware — payment webhooks, queue workers, and glue services between systems and AI providers (OpenAI/Claude) where streaming responses matter.
- BFF (backend-for-frontend) layers — tailored APIs that feed Vue, React, or Next.js frontends and Flutter mobile apps.
Where Node.js fits
Node.js shines on workloads that are I/O-bound rather than CPU-bound — lots of concurrent connections, network calls, and streaming. It's a strong choice when:
- You need real-time behaviour: live updates, chat, notifications, or collaborative editing.
- You're streaming AI/LLM responses to a frontend and want low-latency, token-by-token delivery.
- Your team already lives in JavaScript/TypeScript and you want one language across frontend and backend.
- You're building an API gateway or a lightweight microservice that talks to many other services.
It's less ideal for heavy CPU-bound computation (image/video processing, large numerical work), where a worker in Go or Python — both of which we build with — is usually the better tool.
Our proof
Node.js sits inside a core stack we use in production every day. Our flagship product, FlexiCommerce, is a multi-tenant e-commerce SaaS built solo in roughly 2.5 months — around 450,000 lines of code, 187 data models, ~500 API endpoints, three native Flutter apps, and an AI Store Generator that streams results from an LLM. Building and operating a real SaaS at that scale is what taught us how API contracts, real-time layers, and payment webhooks behave under live traffic with paying customers.
We've also delivered client work that depends on solid backend services: a Brazilian field-inspection app (Flutter + Next.js + Supabase) running in production, and a client app with 10,000+ downloads. We're fluent in TypeScript and NestJS and use them where a Node.js codebase benefits from stronger structure and type safety. We position broadly — we build with whatever the product needs — but we'll always be honest about what we've proven versus what we're confident we can build for you.
Is Node.js the right choice for you?
Node.js is a great fit if your product is real-time, integration-heavy, or already JavaScript/TypeScript end to end. It lets a small team move quickly and share types and validation logic across the stack, which keeps a SaaS lean and consistent.
It may not be the best fit if your core workload is CPU-intensive — large-scale data crunching, computer vision, or ML training — where Python or Go will serve you better. Likewise, if you're building a content-rich e-commerce or admin-heavy product, a batteries-included framework like Laravel (also core for us) can get you to production faster with less assembly. We're not married to one stack; we'll recommend the tool that fits your product, your team, and your budget — even when that isn't Node.js. The goal is a system you can run for years, not a tech badge.
Every engagement comes with full code ownership from day one, no platform lock-in, and the freedom to pause anytime. We bill transparently as the product ships — pay-as-it-ships — so you only pay for working software.

FAQ
The technical questions, answered.
Yes. Node.js is part of our daily core backend stack for APIs, real-time WebSocket features, and service layers, with TypeScript and NestJS in our toolkit for larger, structured codebases.
Yes — you get full code ownership from day one. There's no platform lock-in, you can pause the engagement anytime, and the codebase is yours to run, host, or extend with any team.
We use transparent 'from' pricing billed monthly as the product ships — pay-as-it-ships. Currency is INR (₹) primary, USD ($) secondary. You pay for working software, not estimates.
Choose Node.js for real-time, integration-heavy, or JavaScript/TypeScript-first products. For CPU-heavy work like ML or computer vision, Python or Go fits better; for content and admin-heavy SaaS, Laravel can ship faster. We'll recommend honestly.
Yes. We build Node.js APIs and real-time layers that power Flutter, React Native, or native mobile apps, alongside web frontends in Vue, React, or Next.js — a pattern we've shipped in production.
